here to read the stories. The contest is designed to: push a writer’s editing
ability, improve overall writing skills, and have a lot fun! Here
are the details:
- The contest is free to enter for any
registered member on the
writing forums. You can submit using your real
name or your username.
- Submit entries to
contest@justalittlefiction.com. In the subject of the email
include your member name, title of the story, and word count.
- Only one entry per person.
- Stories must be equal to or fewer than 300
words. Any story over that threshold will not be accepted.
- Stories can be any genre, style, or tense.
- Member voting on a 1-10 scale will decide
the winner. Read the
Forum Rules thread for details on voting privileges.
- Submissions will accepted until we have 32 entries. If there
is enough interest and we can get 64 we will accept that many.
- The contest will be held in a tournament style. Seeding will
be random.
- First place will receive a $100 prize.
- Voting will not be made public.
You may vote on your own story.
- There will be no begging or asking for
votes. Anyone
actively politicking for votes will be disqualified.
- The $100 winning payment will be issued
via PayPal.
Just a Little Fiction retains no rights to any
work published on the site. All authors can request their story be
removed at any time. We do not guarantee that a story will be posted.
The author will be emailed with an approximate date the story will be
shown. All short stories must be fiction works of your own creation
and cannot be previously published.
